This month, our proposal was chosen for a FOSC Student Research and Education Grant. With the support of this grant we will create a large format exhibit at the Seymour Discovery Center. The centerpiece of this exhibit will be a near-life sized printout of our field site, which we will annotate with notes on intertidal zonation and natural history. We will also use informational panels to detail our scientific process and explain how we are using our approach to understand and conserve our coastal ecosystems. Thus our project will help to further the mission of the Seymour Center of engaging and educating the public on the role of scientific research.
